Stories, nightmares, desires, fears, death…. negative or positive emotions take the form of images in hands of Robert Bartholot. Every shot has a story to tell, a narration of a man’s deepest thoughts coming to surface. Images that help you capture emotions and memories, images that touch you deeply within your soul.

LE PETIT MORT
Photography, styling.
Le petit mort brings out both negative and positive emotions, a contradiction itself. It refers to the spiritual release that comes with orgasm, a concept that describes the feeling one should get when experiencing anything so great that can’t be described in words, a death so sweet and desirable. Robert Bartholot images describe in the best way possible the unique power of this feeling.
LE CLOSEAU ENCHANTÉE
Concept, styling, photography for fashion spread interpreting hand-remodelled pieces of Maison Martin Margiela‘s Artisanal Collection. MMM garments generously provided by yoox.com. MakeUp by Antonio Estrada. Published in Schön! Magazine.
CLASSIC NIGHTMARES
Personal work. Photography, styling. Collaboration with SERIAL CUTâ„¢.
Nightmares may be upsetting, but they are not “real” and can’t harm you. Or can they?
Either way nightmares bring out our strongest feelings of fear, distress, or anxiety. Instead of living in terror you should confront your fears and explore your dark side.
“Simon says” and his words come out of the mouth in the most unexpected form. Damn these words that are spread in the air before you even know it. Don’t think, just open your mouth and express your feelings and frustrations.

Robert Bartholot
info
Bartholot is a Berlin-based freelance designer with an emphasis on photographic illustration and art direction.
He was born in 1971 in Southern Germany and became a graphic designer in Aachen. He gained experience working in
Lucerne and Zurich, before he moved to Madrid to join photography legend Ãlvaro Villarrubia’s team. He’s been exploring his particular imagery ever since. Beside his interest in dollish characters he certainly has a weakness for dusty shine, trendless fashion & striking gloom.
