The alternative hotel Wanderlust in Little India, Singapore is set to to draw madcap, curious voyagers to the old ethnic enclave. This boutique hotel is the outcome of different design and architectural firms which joined forces in order to create a hotel with a characterof its own. Made for those with a sense of adventure, Wanderlust invites the visitor to walk the unconventional path where a radical hotel experience awaits.

The newest development is located in an old settlement where Indian immigrants once reared cattle and livestock. Its history began in the 1920s in Little India, Singapore and nowadays the building still retains its old-world charm with an unchanged facade. Just as there are no identical rooms, the same can be said for each floor in the hotel. Each design agency – Asylum, Phunk Studio, and fFurious- along with the Singapore Architect firm DP Architects was given full creativity freedom to design an entire level in the hotel, resulting in four different “in-your-face” themes: Industrial Glam, Eccentricity, Is it just Black and White?, Creature Comforts.

According to the hotelier Loh Lik Peng “Visitors to Wanderlust hotelwill reconnect with a small part of their childhood and once again, be enchantedwith what made them want to explore the world. Sometimes, amazing things and original experiences get lost in the fog of our worldliness. With Wanderlust, an attempt is made to make that adult world into a fun palyground once again”.
